Don't try to tell your whole life story at once. Your life is made up of hundreds of stories. Just write about one at a time.

As you begin to write, don't worry about spelling, punctuation or grammar. Let the ideas flow onto the paper (or the computer screen). You can always fix those other things later.

Start anywhere when telling your story! Start by writing down an anecdote or a story from any time. String the stories together in an order that makes sense to you later.
