WAGS members and the public are invited to attend any of our Life Story Writers Group Meetings. These meetings create supportive spaces for members to share writing about their personal life stories, or those of their family members and ancestors. Attendees are welcome to share their writing or to listen to others for inspiration.
Writing prompts are offered each month to help inspire your writing. The writing prompts are meant to be suggestions only. Members are welcome to share their writing on any topic related to their own lives or the lives of their family members. The current writing prompts are listed below.

What Effects Have Your DNA Ethnicity Results Had
On Your Family History and Stories?
Write a column or two about any of the following:
- Have you discovered spelling variations of your surname in your family tree?
- Can you identify when your surname took on its current form?
- Have you been able to trace your ancestral migration to America?
- What world or local events may have driven your ancestors to migrate?
- What languages were spoken in your ancestral family line?
- Have any names or words from those languages continued to the present day?
- What surprises have you discovered in your ethnicity results?
- How have these results shifted over time?
- Do your current results confirm your research, or do they question family traditions?
- Have your ethnicity results provided you with clues about your family history and traditions?
