Our Writers Group will meet in person only on Wednesday, October 28th, at 1 pm.
This meeting will be at the Uptown Senior Center, 13225 Walnut Street, Whittier CA 90602.

We hope you enjoyed Colette Hokanson's presentation on "The Genealogy Puzzle: Putting the Right Pieces Together" at our October meeting.
At our November meeting, Sandra Rumble will be our featured speaker. Her topic will be."American Military Records of the 18th and 19th Century."

The California Pioneer Certificate Program
Do you have a California ancestor who contributed to our state's rich history? Did they come before statehood in 1850? Did they participate in the Gold Rush? Did they live in San Francisco during the great earthquake of 1906? If so, you may qualify for this new program.
WAGS has partnered with the San Diego Genealogical Society to offer the Cailfornia Pioneer Certificate Program to our members. SDGS will share half of the proceeds from your certificate fee with WAGS if you mention that you are a WAGS member

The October 2026 issue of WAGS Family Tales has been added to the Members Only section of the website. It is now available for members to view or download.
Note for Members about the Surname Database:
To add surnames to the Surname Database, you must be logged in to the WAGS website.
Enter your surnames at the bottom of your Member Profile page.
**Remember to scroll down and click on Save when you are done entering.**
You will not be able to see your own surnames in the Surname Database unless you are logged out of the WAGS website.
