We send e-mail notices of upcoming meetings, renewal reminders, and newsletters. We have heard that some of you may not be receiving some of these e-mails. There are several possible causes — problems with our website e-mail program, problems with your e-mail programs, minor conflicts between the many servers involved, etc. — so we’re not sure what needs “fixed”. However, there are several steps you can take to help ensure that you do receive our e-mails.
- Make sure we have your correct email address on file. To verify this, log on to the WAGS website and click on your Membership Profile. Your email information appears in the lower right-hand corner of the "Contact" tab. To change it, click on the pencil symbol, type the correct email address, then click on the "Save" button.
- Check your Spam folder. Your email provider or your email settings may not recognize the message as coming from a legitimate or allowed source and may have sent the message to your Spam folder. When you find the message, you can usually mark it as “Not Spam” or tell your email provider to “Move to Inbox” and that may correct the problem for future messages.
- Add Whittier Area Genealogical Society (WAGS) to your Address Book/Contacts List and include our most commonly used e-mail addresses: newsletter@wagswhittier.org, membership@wagswhittier.org, and publicity@wagswhittier.org. Most systems will check incoming e-mails against your address book/contacts list to determine whether or not they are allowed.

- Information and Zoom links for our upcoming meetings are posted on our Events Page and at the bottom of the Home Page.
- We post the current issue of WAGS Family Tales and several years of back issues to our website. You must log in to access them. Once you have completed the login process, select "Newsletters: from the Members Only Menu.
- Your membership information is also posted on the website. Once you are logged in, select "Member Profile" under "Logout" on the Main You will see your membership plan, expiration date, and contact information. Our membership year runs from June 1 through May 31st, and the current expiration date for your membership shows in the "Dues & Renewal" section of your Membership Profile page.
